Farmhouse Introduction

【TOYAMA】Arai Guesthouse: This is the only place in the world where you can rent out a single Gassho-zukuri house. Please come and experience it for yourself. Gassho-zukuri, with its triangular gable roofs, is a unique Japanese residential architecture style found in Shirakawa-go (Ogimachi Village), Gifu Prefecture, Aikura Village in Gokayama, Toyama Prefecture, and here in Suganuma Village (a world heritage site since 1995).The small Gassho-zukuri style houses in Suganuma Village were built on flat land between the late Edo period and the Taisho period (1912-1926). You can experience how people from different generations lived. A five-minute walk from Suganuma Village is Gokayama Gassho-no-Sato, which features three Gassho-zukuri houses that were relocated for preservation reasons. The kitchens and baths have been remodeled in a modern style.

【NIIGATA】Farmstay USHIDA-YA: The hosts offer a sunrise tour of the terraced rice fields of Hoshitoge and a guided tour of the village and the terraced rice fields. You will also learn the secret of Niigata's delicious rice, and the taste of rice you eat after learning the secret is exceptional! During the harvest season, you can even try your hand at harvesting! The inn is a traditional farmhouse built over 100 years ago that was completely renovated in 2017, and we have tried to keep the structure and atmosphere of an old farmhouse as comfortable as possible.

【AKITA】Kamado: Kamado’s located in Akita prefecture’s Tazawako Lake will have you feeling like you are hidden from everyday life. Ever used a Japanese hearth? You can now! With all the vegetables and fruits grown at Kamado, every season will bring your a new experience. Spring: pizza making, Summer: 10m Long bamboo soumen noodle catching, Fall: Harvest crop, Winter: Snow sculpting. Come to Kamado if you are looking to connect with the locals and explore something new.

【IWATE】Horoha No Ie: Experience a relaxing countryside stay in the spacious and well fitted Haroha No Ie. Be a part of the family and have your Japanese mother make you the local city’s famous “Hatto”. Full of fresh fish, vegetables, and meat that will for sure fill your stomach with love. Have a big group ? Not a problem! Haroha No Ie can fit up to 12 of your friends and families.

【GUNMA】"Satogoro" Guesthouse: Traditional Japanese style Satogoro is located in Numata City, Gunma Prefecture. The biggest attraction of Numata City is its rich nature. This is an old house where you can enjoy home-made dishes using vegetables and rice grown organically by the family. The 140-year-old sericultural farmhouse has been renovated to create a space where you can experience a traditional farmhouse stay. You can also experience farming, forestry, playing in the river, and walking in the mountains. 【CHIBA】Iwai Farm: Iwai Farm Guesthouse is located in Mutsusawa-cho, a quiet farming community in southeastern Chiba Prefecture, about 1.5 hours by car from Tokyo and Kanagawa. We offer a variety of hands-on experiences that take advantage of the surrounding rice paddies, fields, and rivers, including rice farming, handmade pizza, Boso gibier, paella, rice cake pounding, wreath making, yoga, and SUP,BBQ,wood burning stove and make a bonfire in the garden. 【TOKUSHIMA】Nakajima: Agricultural experience at a world heritage cultural site in Mima city ! From April to November, learn how to harvest vegetables and fruits. There is a wood-burning stove inside, and you can enjoy a bonfire outside.There is a walking course, a pond, an observatory, and terraced rice paddies nearby, so you can feel the richness of nature. You are also welcome to interact with the owner's family (they have two small children). If you would like to have a meal, you are welcome to make side dishes and soup with us.

We can see beautiful mountain ridges from our guest rooms. We are Kid's first farm stay! 【KAGOSHIMA】 Farm Stay Nyanba-Wan: Near the guest house there is a 500 years old hidden shrine. Good location with easy access to Kagoshima city and Ibusuki and Makurazaki area. Recommended for animal lovers, as they have a cat, a dog and chickens at the guest house. (Nyan = Meow, Wan = Bow-wow, Nyanba-Wan = Number One)

【OKINAWA】Akagawara no Ie: Surrounded by mountains, this inn has a river flowing directly in front of it and a wide garden. In the garden, you can find shequasar(Taiwan tangerine), turmeric, daily harvest herb and hibiscus. You can also enjoy a nice morning walk by the beautiful beach, as it is only 1km away from the guest house.
